Step No 1:- First, download the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow G920VVRU4CPC2 firmware file and Odin flashing tool from the above-given links.
Step No 2:- Extract the firmware zipped file on the desktop of your PC to get a file like G920VVRU4CPC2 tar.md5. Now don’t need to unzip the tar.md5 archive.
Step No 3:- Power OFF the phone in order to boot into Download Mode.
Step No 4:- Now, power ON the phone by pressing and holding Volume Down, + Home + Power buttons at the same time, for a few moments. Your device should reboot in download mode.
Step No 5:- Run Odin tool on your PC as Administrator.
Step No 6:- Connect the Galaxy S6 using USB data cable with the PC and wait for Odin to detect the device

Step No 8:- Next, click the AP button in Odin. Locate the G920VVRU4CPC2 tar.md5 update file and select it.
Step No 9:- Click on the Start button to begin flashing Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update on your device. Set back and wait for the process to be completed successfully.
Step No 10:- The PASS message will be displayed on ODIN once the new firmware is installed. Your phone will reboot in normal mode.
Step No 11:- Disconnect the Galaxy S6 when the menu has appeared on your device.
